Deliveries of passenger vehicles in France reversed a three-month slide by expanding 6% in January, according to industry group CCFA.

The trade association says registrations climbed to 132,800 units last month from 125,500 in January 2014. PSA Peugeot Citroen gained 3%, but Renault's volume dropped 3%.

In Spain, car sales marked their 17th consecutive year-on-year gain in January, jumping 28% to 68,100 units, according to ANFAC. Demand was helped by the government's seventh extension of an incentive program that gives qualifying new-car buyers a €2,000 rebate.
