Infiniti Crossover Concept to Get Beijing Reveal

Nissan Motor Co.’s Infiniti luxury arm released a teaser image of a new concept that previews the design direction for an upcoming midsize crossover model.

Infiniti will take the wraps off the concept, dubbed the QX Sport, later this month at the Beijing auto show. Infiniti, which has identified China as a key growth target, hopes to capitalize on the country’s surging demand for crossover/SUVs, which now account for about one-third of the light vehicle market there.

The QX teaser shows a wide, muscular stance with a front end reminiscent of the upcoming 2017 Q60 coupe. Infiniti says the vehicle will feature wide wheel arches and a “floating” A-pillar.
