International Automotive Components Group has opened two more factories in Changshu, China, bringing to 26 the number of its operations in the country.

International Automotive Components Group has opened two more factories in Changshu, China, bringing to 26 the number of its operations in the country.

The two new facilities add 240,000 sq ft of manufacturing space and will employ 540 workers. One plant will make instrument panels, consoles and cockpit systems. The second will produce floor carpet and acoustic materials.

IAC says the facilities will export products as well as supply domestic and foreign carmakers in China. The $5.2 billion company is headquartered in Luxembourg and operates 81 manufacturing facilities in 19 countries.
