Hyundai Motor Co. says it will boost the average pay of its hourly workers in Nosovice, Czech Republic, by 12% over the next two years, Reuters reports.
Base pay will rise by 4.5% this year and 4.6% in 2018, with bonuses in both years accounting for the balance, according to the report.
Wages are rising rapidly in the country, where unemployment is only 3.4%, the lowest among EU member nations. Hyundai produces small cars and the midsize Tucson SUV at Nosovice.
