Hyundai Motor Co. will debut its next-generation Tucson small SUV/crossover on March 3 at the Geneva auto show. The car is expected to go on sale in the second half of 2015.
The Tucson, which rides on Hyundai's Elantra sedan platform, debuted globally in 2004. The vehicle has been called the ix35 in Europe and certain other markets since 2009, when the second-generation model was launched. Hyundai reportedly intends to return to the Tucson name in all markets.
Hyundai currently produces the Tucson in South Korea, China, southeast Asia, the Middle East, eastern Europe and Brazil.
