The company underscored the importance of the region earlier this week by convening its first global dealer meeting in Dubai. Hyundai Vice Chairman Chung Eui-sun tells dealers the company plans to enhance service support and add higher-end models.
Hyundai is the best-selling brand in Israel, Jordan and Syria, and affiliate Kia Motors Corp. leads in Iraq, according to the Herald. The company currently markets Avante and Accent small sedans and Santa Fe and Tucson SUVs in the region.
