Hyundai Motor Co. says it will introduce a new twin-turbocharged V-6 engine in its top-of-the-line Genesis sedan by 2018.
The new powerplant will displace 3.8 liters, produce 365 hp and be significantly lighter and more fuel efficient than the 5.0-liter, 420-hp V-8 currently available, according to specs leaked on the Internet in February.
Earlier reports say the V-6 will be fitted with a variant of Hyundai's current continuously variable valve timing system.
