Hyundai Motor Corp. says it will introduce an electric vehicle after 2021 that will be able to travel 500 km (311 miles) per charge.

The car will be among 31 “green” models coming from the company and its Kia Motors affiliate between now and 2020, up from the 28 models announced previously. The upcoming vehicles will include three plug-in hybrids and two models powered by fuel cells.

Reuters says Hyundai has disclosed its expanded plans for electrification because investors have been worried that the company is lagging its competitors.

Hyundai introduced its first EV, the $30,400 Ioniq compact sedan, last year. That sedan has a range of 200 km (124 miles) per charge. The company will add an electric version of its Kona small crossover next spring that promises a range of 390 km (242 miles).
