Hyundai-Kia Targets Record 1 Million Sales in Europe
Hyundai Motor Co. and its Kia Motors affiliate expect to achieve record sales in Europe of at least 1 million units this year.

Group sales in the region totaled 715,100 cars through August, according to industry trade group ACEA. Hyundai and Kia posted gains of 10% and 6%, respectively, for the period.
The companies say their consumer perception in Europe has grown from budget brands to marques that offer innovation and high tech content. Hyundai-Kia first entered the European market in 1977. It took the two brands more than 30 years to build annual sales there of 500,000 units.
