Hyundai-Kia Miss 2015 Sales Goals

Hyundai Motor Co. and its Kia Motors Corp. affiliate report global sales of 8.01 million vehicles in 2015 compared with 8 million in 2014.

The companies had forecast their combined sales would reach 8.2 million sales last year. Their failure to meet that target marked the first time they fell short since the global financial crisis seven years ago.

Hyundai-Kia expect their combined sales will climb only 1.5% to 8.13 million units in 2016.
