Honda Motor Co. introduced the production version of its BR-V crossover vehicle earlier this month at the Indian Auto Expo in Delhi.
Designed for developing markets in Asia, the 7-seat BR-V (for Bold Runabout Vehicle), sports a 105-inch wheelbase and measures 179 inches from bumper to bumper. This makes it slightly smaller overall than the carmaker’s CR-V crossover, but its 2-inch-longer wheelbase provides more interior space, which is used to add a third row of seats.
Powertrain choices include a gasoline or diesel 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 6-speed manual or continuously variable transmission.
BR-V sales will begin in India and Indonesia this summer. Honda unveiled a concept version of the vehicle last year at the Indonesia auto show.
