Honda Motor Co. is recalling nearly 25,400 vehicles in the U.S. to replace rear-seat hand grab rail brackets, which could puncture side-curtain airbags during deployment.
The initiative affects Fit LX hatchbacks without sunroofs built in the 2015 and 2016 model years.
Honda says it discovered the problem, which is attributed to improper manufacturing, during internal testing. There have been no reported incidents in the field.
