Honda Motor Co. is adding about 1 million units to earlier U.S recalls to replace passenger-side Takata Corp. airbag inflators that could misfire.
The campaign covers 2001-2005 model Civic small cars and 2003-2007 model Accord midsize sedans. Honda called back about 350,000 of those models in late May for the same repair.
Honda estimates it has now recalled 6.3 million vehicles to replace one or more of their airbag inflators.
