Honda Motor Co. plans to further develop its unusual half-motorcycle/half-car Project 2&4 concept vehicle, Top Gear reports. Honda motorcycle designer Martin Petersson tells the U.K. magazine there will be a next step for the concept, but he didn't elaborate.

Honda unveiled the one-seater earlier this month at the Frankfurt auto show. The company's automotive and motorcycle design teams collaborated on the open-cabin vehicle, which Petersson says was designed from the inside out

Inspired by the Honda Formula One race car that won the Grand Prix of Mexico in 1965, the concept vehicle measures 119 inches long, 71 inches wide and stands 38 inches tall. The body weighs just 900 lbs.

Power comes from the 1.0-liter 4-cylinder engine used in Honda's MotoGP race bike. The detuned powerplant makes 215 hp and 87 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.
