China's AVIC Automotive Systems Holding Co. has acquired Michigan-based Henniges Automotive Holdings Inc., a maker of vehicle sealing and anti-vibration products. Terms were not disclosed, but Bloomberg News estimates the deal at about $1 billion.

AVIC Auto is a unit of Aviation Industry Corp. of China, one of that country's largest state-owned businesses. AVIC Auto previously spent $440 million to buy Michigan-based Nexteer Automotive Group Ltd. in 2011.

Henniges, whose revenue totaled $825 million last year, says its new owner will help the company accelerate current expansion in China, Germany and Mexico.
