Harman Opens New N. America Headquarters

Vehicle audio systems supplier Harman international Industries Inc. has officially opened a new North American headquarters in Novi, Mich.

The 188,000-sq-ft facility, which houses 1,000 employees, includes engineering labs, infotainment design studios, audio listening rooms, an anechoic chamber, vehicle bays and a pilot factory.

Harmon says much of the facility’s work will focus on vehicle connectivity and autonomous driving technologies. Other pursuits are telematics, over-the-air software update services, next-generation navigation and cybersecurity.
