Newport Beach, Calif.-based Green Automotive Co. has completed its acquisition of the U.K.'s Liberty Electric Cars Ltd. Plans for the purchase were announced last month.
Green Automotive converts, imports and distributes EVs and other alternative power vehicles. The company says it is assessing electric buses and other alternate fuel vehicles to introduce to the American market.
Liberty Electric makes its own electric powertrains for cars, trucks and buses. It has showcased its technology in the Liberty E-Range, an electrified Range Rover that can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in about 7 seconds, reach a top speed of 100 mph and cover 200 miles per charge.
