John Krafcik, CEO of Google Inc.’s self-driving car project, will be the keynote speaker at the inaugural AutoMobili-D expo in Detroit.
Announced earlier this year, AutoMobili-D will be co-located at the city’s Cobo Center in conjunction with the Detroit auto show in January. The 120,000-sq-ft expo will feature a demonstration track, seminars and more than 100 participating companies. The event will focus on five areas: autonomous driving, connected car technologies, e-mobility, mobility services and urban mobility.
Krafcik joined Google last year. He previously headed TrueCar Inc., a California-based online buying service, and was the CEO of Hyundai Motor America. He also was a senior product development engineer at Ford.
