General Motors Co. is preparing to recall nearly 2.2 million vehicles in China to replace an engine pressure regulator that may fail.
The campaign targets Buick and Chevrolet models powered by GM’s 1.6- or 1.8-liter Gen3 naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine. All cars and engines were produced in China.
Affected models and the number of units to be recalled are:
- 2009-2016 model Chevrolet Cruze compact sedans (1.1 million units)
- 2010-2015 model Buick Excelle small sedans and hatchbacks (833,900)
- 2010-2015 model Chevrolet Epica small sedans (159,000)
- 2012-2015 model Chevrolet Aveo small sedans (18,200)
