General Motors Co.'s sales in China in the first two months of 2015 shrank 1% to 600,900 units compared with the same period last year, Bloomberg News says.
The news service notes that January-February sales are often grouped to compensate for the effect of the Lunar New Year, which can fall in either month. GM's sales dropped 2% in January and rose 1% in February.
Bloomberg says net shrinkage in volume over the two-month period was caused by a 6% drop in Buick sales and an 11% decline in demand for Wuling brand microvans.
