General Motors Co. reports that sales by its ventures in China fell 4% to 295,200 units in September.
GM’s volume through the first nine months of 2015 totaled 2.49 million units, up 2% on the same period last year. Results are being defined by exceptionally strong demand for the company’s SUV/crossovers, which zoomed 171% last month.
The company predicts luxury cars and SUV/crossovers will account for 80% of growth in China’s passenger vehicle market over the next several years.
