GM Reports Record November Sales in China

General Motors Co. and its joint ventures in China sold a record 310,100 vehicles in November, up 5% from the same month last year.

Sales through the first 11 months of 2014 totaled 3.18 million cars and trucks, surpassing GM's full-year record of 3.16 million in 2013.

Last month's sales advanced 7% to 156,100 units at SAIC-GM-Wuling and 5% to 149,700 units at Shanghai GM. Demand for light-duty commercial trucks made by the company's FAW-GM venture plunged 29% to 4,300 units.
