General Motors Co. will recall about 56,400 of its 2013 model Cadillac SRX crossovers to fix a software problem that can delay acceleration by as much as four seconds.
All affected vehicles are equipped with a 308-hp, 3.6-liter V-6 engine. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration blames the problem on a flaw in the 6-speed transmission's control module programming.
GM says the issue occurs only during an upshift from first to second gear if within two seconds the driver brakes to less than 5 mph and then accelerates again. Dealers will reflash the control module.
