General Motors Co. says it sold a company record 3.61 million vehicles—including sales through joint venture partners—in China last year, up 5% from 2014 levels. The increase was fueled by a strong fourth quarter, including a 14% surge in December.

Sales of GM’s Cadillac and Buick brands jumped 17% and 12%, respectively, year-over-year, while Chevrolet sales fell 10%. Baojun-badged vehicles sold through GM’s joint venture with SAIC and Wuling rocketed 170% to some 463,500 vehicles in 2015.

GM expects further growth this year in China, which remains its largest market, as it prepares to launch 13 new and freshened models there. It added 12 such vehicles last year.
