General Motors Co. is launching a worldwide review of agencies that handle public relations for its brands.
Tony Cervone, who heads GM’s global communications, says the process will begin with Cadillac later this year and spread through most of 2016 to the company’s Chevrolet, Buick and GMC brands.
The primary goal is to coordinate and align brand messaging around the world, according to Cervone. He says GM’s overall spending on PR won’t decline as a result of the review. The process follows a realignment of GM’s ad agencies three years ago.
