General Motors Co. is preparing to repair brake pedals that could come loose in 473,400 of its fullsize trucks and SUVs in the U.S. and Canada.
The callback will apply to 2015-2016 model Chevrolet Tahoe police SUVs and Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra heavy-duty pickup trucks.
GM says the nut that holds the pedal’s pivot bolt in place could loosen. If the bolt falls out, the pedal would be unable to apply braking force. Dealers will use adhesive if necessary to secure the nut. No crashes or injuries have been reported.
