General Motors Co. is distributing bonus payment for 2016 that average $12,000 to eligible workers in the U.S. who belong to the United Auto Workers union.
Last month Ford announced it would distribute bonuses worth about $9,000 to its UAW workers. FCA’s bonuses for 2016 averaged $5,000.
The payments are indexed to pretax profits made in North America under terms of a profit-sharing scheme included in the four-year labor agreements signed in 2015 between the UAW and GM, Ford and FCA.
