General Motors Co. is recalling all current-generation Chevrolet Camaros to replace ignition switches that can be knocked out of the "run" position by the driver's knee.

The campaign covers 511,500 Camaros made during the 2010-2014 model years, include 464,700 sold in the U.S.

GM says the switch meets its performance specs and is not the same unit that prompted a 2.6 million-car recall in February. Dealers will replace the current push-button key-in-fob with a standard key.

Separately, GM is recalling 69,800 cars in three more campaigns. The U.S. portion of the recalls include:

  • 28,800 Saab 9-3 convertibles from model years 2004-2011 to fix the driver's seat automatic seatbelt tensioning cable, which could break
  • 21,600 model year 2012 Chevrolet Sonic minicars to fix a problem with the automatic transmission that could prevent it from shifting above second gear
  • 14,800 Buick LaCrosse sedans from the 2014 model year to repair a wiring splice that could break and cause the door chime, power windows and sunroof to operate spontaneously when the engine is off
