The fund set up to compensate victims of defective General Motors Co. ignition switches has now approved 90 fatality claims for payment offers, up from 87 a week earlier.
The program also raised the number of eligible claims for injuries to 163 from 157. It has ruled 1,420 submissions ineligible for compensation.
The fund has trimmed its list of claims currently under review to 997. Another 491 applications cannot be processed because they were submitted with no documentation.
