The independent fund set up to compensate victims of defective General Motors Co. ignition switches has deemed 107 fatality claims eligible for payment, up from 104 a week earlier.

The fund also raised the number of eligible injury claims by eight to 191. The group is reviewing 374 claims, including 26 fatalities. It has deemed 2,163 claims out of 4,342 submitted as ineligible.
