The fund set up to compensate victims of crashes caused by defective General Motors Co. ignition switches has accepted claims for three more fatalities and nine more injuries.

The additions bring to 114 fatalities and 229 injuries the number of applications deemed eligible for compensation.

Another 109 claims remain under review. The fund reports it remains unable to assess more than 1,250 applications submitted with insufficient or no documentation.
