GM, Ford Report Record July Sales in China

GM's Buick (+30% to 89,400 units), Baojun (+61% to 44,300) and Cadillac (+90% to 8,800) brands all set July sales records. Deliveries by the company’s Wuling mini-commercial vehicles unit rose 6% to 97,700 vehicles.
Ford Motor Co. sold a record 88,200 vehicles in China last month, up 15% from its total in July 2015. Sales through the first seven months of this year rose 6% to 652,800 vehicles.
Volume in July jumped 20% to 69,100 passenger cars for Changan Ford. Sales of commercial vehicles by Ford’s Jiangling Motor Corp. venture rose 6% to 17,700 units.
