GM Expands Senior Management Roles
General Motors Co. is expanding the role of its president and promoting executives in product development and purchasing, effective Nov. 1.

General Motors Co. is expanding the role of its president and promoting executives in product development and purchasing, effective Nov. 1.
CEO Mary Barra says the moves will enhance the ability of GM’s regional units to collaborate and accelerate the debut of new products and technologies.
Taking on new assignments in GM’s senior management team are:
Mark Reuss, GM’s president since the beginning of last year, who will expand his oversight to include all regional operations worldwide.

The current presidents of GM’s North America (Barry Engle), China (Matt Tsien), Global Cadillac (Steve Carlisle), Quality and Operational Excellence (Tony Francavilla), Global Portfolio Planning (Dave Kuhl) and Global Design (Michael Simcoe) all will report to Reuss.
Doug Parks, who has headed GM’s autonomous vehicle and electrification programs since 2016, takes over as executive vice president for global product development, purchasing and supply chain.
Steve Kiefer, who has headed global purchasing and supply chain, will become president of GM South America and International Operations.
