General Motors Co. says it will double the size of its GM Korea Design Center in Incheon and boost its staff there to more than 200 by 2013.

The facility, one of 10 such GM centers in seven countries, is responsible for the company's global small-car design activities. The studio helped develop such cars as the Chevrolet Aveo, Cruze and Spark.

The Incheon expansion will add more modeling studios, display space and work areas. GM says the facility will maintain its focus on advanced design and visualization technologies.
