GM CEO Barra Earned $16.3 Million Last Year

General Motors Co. awarded CEO Mary Barra $16.3 million in compensation in 2014, her first year in the post, according to the company's proxy statement.

Barra received $1.6 million in salary, incentive pay of $2.1 million, $763,000 in other compensation and stock valued at $11.8 million.

Like other top GM executives, Barra's metrics-based cash compensation was only 75% of the total possible. That's because GM fell short of targets for quality, customer loyalty, cash flow, market share and pretax earnings.
