The four models have less content and sticker prices $1,500-$2,500 lower than their siblings.
GM says the special models are intended to make the nameplates more attractive to price-conscious consumers, mainly by enabling dealers to advertise more attractive "as low as" prices. Dealers typically carry only a few such "stripper" models because their profit margins are so low.
