GKN Automotive Opens New Americas Headquarters

GKN plc's automotive unit for the Americas has moved into its new headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich.

The 168,000 sq-ft facility replaces the former 113,000 sq-ft headquarters of GKN Automotive a few miles away. The bigger building houses about 350 people and serves as the regional office for GKN's driveline and sinter metals division.

The 11-acre site expands GKN's engineering, testing and validation capabilities of driveline and power metal products. It also houses representatives of the company's land systems and North American services units.
