Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn tells Bloomberg News the alliance would consider collaborating on technology development to reduce waste in the industry.
Ghosn notes that Renault and Nissan already share technologies, and both companies collaborate with Daimler AG on certain projects.
"We have absolutely no reluctance to collaborate with anybody, as long as it makes sense for us," he declares.
But Ghosn says the alliance has had no talks with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne about tech sharing. Marchionne has been vocal about the industry's need to collaborate on common technologies.
