Investigators from Germany’s cartel authority are looking into possible price manipulation by six carmakers and suppliers that buy steel.
The government agency raided offices on June 23. The authority did not indicate which companies it targeted, but Reuters confirms five of them are BMW, Bosch, Daimler, Volkswagen and ZF.
All companies tell the news service they are cooperating with the probe. General Motors Co. reports its Opel unit is not part of the investigation.
