Gentex Posts Record Sales, Earnings

Gentex Corp. netted $46 million in the first quarter of 2012 compared with $42 million in the same period last year. Revenue jumped 16% to $291 million. Both figures set all-time company records for any quarter.

The Zeeland, Mich.-based maker of auto-dimming mirrors and camera-based driver assistance systems, predicts that revenue in the second half of this year will grow 15% year over year to $609 million.
