Garmin Maps New Hondas

Garmin International Inc. says it has inked a four-year contract extension to supply in-vehicle navigation systems to Honda Motor Co.

The deal will cover multiple new vehicle programs, starting with Honda's all-new Pilot crossover vehicle, according to the Switzerland-based supplier.

The system includes spoken turn-by-turn directions, real-time traffic functionality, road sign displays and realistic 3-D images. Lane guidance indicates the proper lane to be in to make a turn, and preloaded maps allow users to navigate through areas that lack cellphone reception.
