Fuji Heavy to Divest Two Non-Core Businesses

Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. says it will sell its garbage truck and wind turbine units to its joint venture partners to focus on its Subaru auto operations.

Hitachi Ltd. has agreed to buy the wind turbine unit for 1 billion yen ($12 million) by about July 1. ShinMaywa Industries Ltd. will buy FHI's 30% stake in the garbage truck business for 1.2 billion yen ($14 million) in a deal to close on Dec. 28, pending regulator approvals.
