Chris Porritt, the former vice president of vehicle engineering at Tesla Motors Inc., has joined Apple Inc.’s secretive Project Titan electric-car program, Electrek reports.
The online newsletter speculates that Porritt is taking over as head of Project Titan. Steve Zadesky, who reportedly launched the program two years ago, left Apple in January.
Porritt is a past chief engineer at Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd. He joined Tesla in 2013 and worked on the company’s Model S, Model X and Model 3 electric vehicles. He left Tesla last September and joined Apple a few months later as a “special projects group administrator.”
