Former GE Exec Named Nissan’s Chief Information Officer
Nissan Motor Co. has hired Anthony Thomas as a corporate vice president and chief information officer, effective Oct. 23.
Nissan Motor Co. has hired Anthony Thomas as a corporate vice president and chief information officer, effective Oct. 23.
Thomas most recently was CIO for General Electric’s GE Global digital operations. He previously held executive positions with Citigroup, Ernst & Young and Vodafone India.
As Nissan’s CIO, Thomas will oversee the company’s information technology and information systems groups, including cybersecurity and managing digital service vendors. He will be based at the carmaker’s headquarters in Yokohama, Japan, and report to CEO Hiroto Saikawa.
Thomas succeeds Celso Guiotoko, who was named Nissan’s statutory auditor in March. Thomas has an electrical and electronics engineering degree from India’s College of Engineering.
