Former Ford Exec Ligocki Joins Lear Board

Lear Corp. has appointed Kathleen Ligocki, a longtime auto industry executive, to its board of directors, effective immediately.

Ligocki is currently an operating executive at Menlo Park, Calif.-based venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, according to Lear. It says she also is CEO of struggling green car startup Next Autoworks Co.

Ligocki previously worked as a senior executive at Ford Motor Co., CEO of Tower Automotive Inc. and Mexico-base GM Motors.
