Former Audi and Fiat Designer to Join Mitsubishi Motors

Alessandro Dambrosio will join Mitsubishi Motors Corp. in October as the company's executive design director.
Dambrosio, who has been with the Volkswagen Group since 2009, most recently headed Audi’s concept design studio in Munich. He started his career with Fiat and had stints heading styling for the carmaker’s Alfa Romeo and Maserati brands.
At MMC, Dambrosio will lead teams at the company’s design studios in Tokyo and Okazaki, Japan, and Frankfurt, Germany. He will report to Tsunehiro Kunimoto, corporate vice president of the design division.
The Italian-born Dambrosio’s credits include the Alfa 159, Giulietta and Mito and the Maserati Grancabrio. At VW Group he worked on the Audi A4 and A5, Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Egoista Concept and VW’s Polo and Passat cars.
