Ford’s Sales in Europe Rise 8%

Ford Motor Co. reports sales of 98,100 cars and commercial vehicles in Europe last month, up 8% to the best October volume since 2011.

Sales in the region through the first 10 months of 2014 climbed 8% to nearly 1 million units. The company says its market share for the period advanced 0.1 percentage point to 8.0%.

Ford's commercial vehicle sales in January-October climbed 18% to 187,000 units, including a 31% surge to 21,200 units last month.
