Fiesta sales in Europe grew 9% to 190,400 units in January-July, and August sales hit a three-year high, according to the company. Ford's overall sales in the region climbed 15% last month.
But Europe's passenger-vehicle market expanded only 2% in August, according to industry group ACEA. Volumes shrank in three of the region's largest markets: Germany (-0.4%), France (-3%) and Italy (-0.2%).
