Ford Motor Co. is recalling 51,500 of its 2015-2016 model Transit wagons in North America to repair or replace rear-seat safety belt buckles that could break.
The buckles can be damaged if heavy objects are placed atop them, then fail to latch correctly when used later on, according to Ford. About 95% of the affected big minivans are in the U.S. Ford reports no injuries attributable to the problem.
