Ford Motor Co. says it will introduce four all-new crossover/SUV models in the U.S. in coming years.

The vehicles will be new nameplates and include at least one Lincoln-badged model, CEO Mark Fields tells reporters at this week’s Detroit auto show. He didn’t provide any additional information.

Media reports speculate that one of the new vehicles could be the EcoSport subcompact crossover vehicle Ford already sells in China and Europe. The company previously indicated it was evaluating the vehicle for the U.S.

Another possibility is to revive the Bronco, a pickup-based SUV Ford discontinued in 1996. An Explorer-sized, three-row SUV is said to be under consideration for Lincoln.

Ford’s crossover/SUV lineup currently includes the Edge, Escape, Explorer and Expedition, while Lincoln sells the MKC, MKX, MKT and Navigator.
